Publication Ethics
Journal of Computer and Technology is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal managed by Ninety Media Publisher, first published in 2023. The journal is an online scientific journal that publishes articles and papers resulting from research in the field of computer science and information technology.
This scientific publication ethics statement serves as an ethical code for all parties involved in the publication process of this journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications upholds three fundamental ethical values:

Freedom from conflicts of interest in publication management.

Granting authorship rights to those who are genuinely entitled to be listed as authors.

Freedom from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Managers
- Determine the journal's name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
- Determine the membership of the editorial board.
- Define the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties in a formal contract.
- Respect confidential matters for contributing researchers, authors, editors, and reviewers.
- Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyrights.
- Review journal policies and communicate them to authors, the editorial board, reviewers, and readers.
- Create code of conduct guides for editors and reviewers.
- Publish journals regularly and on schedule.
- Guarantee the availability of funding sources for the continuity of journal publication.
- Build networks of cooperation and marketing to expand the journal's reach.
- Prepare permits and other legal aspects required for journal operation.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
- Meet the needs of readers and authors.
- Endeavor to improve the quality of publications sustainably.
- Implement processes to ensure the quality of published papers.
- Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively.
- Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record.
- Deliver corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies when necessary.
- Be responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the content and all statements in the work remain the responsibility of the author.
- Actively solicit opinions from authors, readers, reviewers, and editorial board members to improve publication quality.
- Encourage evaluations of the journal when findings or issues arise.
- Support initiatives to reduce research and publication errors by requiring authors to attach an Ethical Clearance form approved by the relevant commission.
- Support initiatives to educate researchers on publication ethics.
- Assess the effect of publication policies on the attitudes of authors and reviewers, and improve them to increase responsibility and reduce errors.
- Maintain an open mind toward new opinions or perspectives that may conflict with personal views.
- Avoid defending one's own opinion, the author's, or a third party's position in ways that may compromise objective decision-making.
- Encourage authors to improve their written works to meet publication standards.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Receive assignments from the editor to review manuscripts and submit review results to the editor as a basis for determining the feasibility of publication.
- Reviewers must not conduct reviews of manuscripts that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly (conflict of interest).
- Maintain the privacy of authors by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations.
- Encourage authors to make improvements to their manuscripts through constructive criticism, suggestions, input, and recommendations.
- Re-examine manuscripts that have been revised according to predetermined standards.
- Review manuscripts promptly according to the publication timeline, based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legitimacy, conclusions, etc.).
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
- Ensure that all individuals listed in the author list meet the established criteria for authorship.
- Take collective responsibility for the article's content, including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
- Clearly disclose the origin of resources (including funding), whether directly or indirectly.
- Explain the limitations of the research transparently.
- Respond to comments made by reviewers in a professional and timely manner.
- Inform the editor promptly if the author intends to withdraw the manuscript.
- Declare that the manuscript submitted for publication is original, has never been published elsewhere in any language, and is not currently under consideration by another publisher.
Note: Any alleged violations of this publication ethics code will be investigated thoroughly by the editorial board in accordance with the guidelines established by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). Sanctions may include rejection of the manuscript, retraction of published articles, and/or blacklisting of the authors involved.
