1 Review Model Overview

3 Detailed Process Description

Initial Screening

Each manuscript submitted will first be checked by the editor to ensure it aligns with the journal's focus, scope, and writing guidelines. If the manuscript is deemed appropriate, the editor will assign a section editor to continue the editorial process. If the manuscript is deemed unsuitable, it will be returned to the author without undergoing the review process.

Reviewer Assignment

The section editor will then assign at least two reviewers to assess the substance, novelty, and scientific contribution of the manuscript. The review process typically takes 1 to 3 weeks. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on criteria outlined in the Reviewer's Article Evaluation Form.

Note: If no response is received within the specified timeframe, the editorial team will send a reminder. If there is still no response, a new reviewer may be appointed to maintain the smooth progression of the editorial process.

Review and Revision Process

Reviewers can provide feedback and recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept: The manuscript is accepted without revisions.
  • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires small corrections or improvements.
  • Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant changes before it can be accepted.
  • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication.

The section editor will then follow up on the review results by sending feedback to the author for revisions. After the revisions are submitted, the section editor will re-evaluate the manuscript. If necessary, the manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for re-evaluation (re-review).

Final Decision

The final decision on whether the article is accepted or rejected is made by the editor, section editor, or chief editor based on the evaluation and consideration of the review process.
